Chapter 1: The Post-Prandial Revelation
After finishing a huge and very tasty meal, I—Sweet
Guava—felt full, sleepy, and totally happy. I was about to go take a nap when I
noticed something strange near my bedroom door. A tiny rolled-up paper was
tucked under the brass door-knocker.
Curious, I picked it up. The paper was rough and old, and
the handwriting looked fancy but a little spooky. The message said:
“Sorry for leaving this secretly. Go to your bedroom door,
walk past it, and enter your storeroom. In the far corner, you’ll find a line
of light. Follow the stairs below it. They lead to the Mystery Room. Inside,
you will find…”
The rest of the note was torn off.
Even though it sounded weird, I felt excited—like something magical was about
to happen.
I followed the instructions. The storeroom was normally full
of old things and memories. But when I pushed aside a big antique cupboard, I
found not just a line of light… but a glowing patch of magenta and gold!
When I touched the wall, it turned soft like jelly and
opened up. Inside was a shining staircase made of crystal that smelled like
vanilla and citrus.
As I walked down, the air became warm and filled with the
smell of caramel and chocolate. My heart began to beat fast—not from fear, but
from excitement and a strange craving for sweetness.
This wasn’t just a path.
It felt like an invitation into another world.
